When related to information processing individuals wanting to opt out, must do so in writing.
Computer access has security measures in place to guard against unauthorised use.
Authorised staff are given a password to access the admin section of our database.
We ensure we dispose of computer equipment in the correct manner.
Staff have been made aware that it is a criminal offence if they try to access or disclose information without authority.
Our premises are protected with alarms.
We have strategies in place for dealing with a breach, loss or equipment failure, this is made up of;
- A recovery plan for loss of records from our back up files stored at the Directors home address
- Assessment of risks associated with the breach
- Informing the appropriate people of the breach
- Review and respond and update security
What information do we collect and what do we use the information for?
We collect information from you when you call to make an appointment, when we carry out an assessment and when we take order details.
We also take details from those attending our lunch and learn and training sessions.
We hold information on clients such as name, address, date of birth, height, weight and disability.
When carrying out an assessment we may take other dimensions and make note of any history with pressure sores or challenging behaviour.
We would then hold information on the equipment that has been ordered and any repairs or adjustments that have been carried out.
We also hold information on the person responsible/main carer for a client in case we need to contact them.
This information enables us to improve customer service (your information helps us to effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs).
We also hold information on the therapists connected to clients so that we can contact them if any requirements or issues arise.
Lastly we hold information therapists who have attended one of our training sessions so that we can offer future training sessions to them.
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than on some occasions for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
The email address you provide, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information etc
