OUR CHOSEN CHARITY OF THE YEAR IS LEEDS MIND

As a Leeds-based company, supporting our community is incredibly important to us. We've previously run some in-house initiatives to collect donations for local charities, but going forwards, we wanted to do more. 

So, this year, the Independence Mobility team, alongside our sister company Medical Hire, have decided to choose a Charity of the Year.  

We’re pleased to announce that our Charity of the Year for this year is...Leeds Mind. 

Leeds Mind supports the people of Leeds and surrounding areas to discover their own resources to 'recover' from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently with their mental health condition. 

1 in 4 people experience mental health difficulties in their lives, whether that be depression, anxiety, isolation, stress, self-harm, personality disorder, bereavement, or any other negative mental health experience. 

Many of the team at Independence Mobility and Medical Hire have been touched by mental health challenges - whether that's ourselves, our family members, friends, or work colleagues - so the decision to support Leeds Mind was easy. 

To raise money, we're planning some company-wide challenges, plus we'll be supporting some of the fantastic events that Leeds Mind have planned in the months ahead.
