Have A Seat

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Sometimes it takes someone on the inside to make a real difference.

Seating is a big part of what we do – there are lots of options out there, but we felt there was a gap for bespoke models at affordable prices. That’s when we found Seating Matters. They’re an Irish company formed by a woman and her two sons – and Martina is an occupational therapist. She started designing chairs to suit her patients, who were spending long periods of time in their chairs and needed better support. The range she designed gives pressure relief and support for every part of the body from legs to chest to head.

We love that our clients no longer have to compromise with their chairs. Cost is always a consideration and bespoke models are usually out of the price range. We think the huge variety of options with the Seating Matters chairs mean that they are practically made to measure, but affordable. A stroke victim, for example, whose posture is to one side, will be very comfortable.

Family members should benefit too. There are four children’s models and if a child is comfortable and not in any pain, they’ll be content to sit for longer, giving the family some relief. In the past we’ve seen children fighting against their chairs because they’re in pain – it’s heartbreaking to watch and it can lead to breakages which is an added hassle for the family.

We’re one of the only distributors aside from Martina and family – so feel free to give us a call if you’d like a demonstration.
